How to update your homepage content
Your homepage is the first thing a customer sees. Rewrite the hero headline, the three feature blurbs, your services list, and your hours of operation without touching any code.
Open the Homepage editor
Every page on your storefront is editable from the same place. The homepage is the one with the extra section blocks.
- Log in to your back office at io.partyrentalstudio.com.
- Click Website from the main navigation.
- Find Homepage in the list, hover over it, and click Edit Page.
Note: The Hero, Features, Services, and Hours of Operation blocks only appear on the Homepage. Other pages open with just the title, content, and SEO fields.
Rewrite the hero section
The hero is the banner at the very top of your homepage: the headline and the line of copy underneath it.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Website Title | The headline in the hero banner. Lead with what you rent and where, for example "Bounce House Rentals in Orange County". |
| Slug | The page URL. Leave the homepage slug alone unless you know you need to change it. |
| Website Description | The supporting line under the headline. Aim for 10 to 15 words. |
| Content | Rich text block for any longer intro copy you want on the page. |
| Additional Content | Optional extra rich text blocks. Click Add More Content to append one. |
Tip: Write the headline for a customer who has never heard of you. Your business name is already in the header and the logo, so use the headline for what you rent and the area you serve.
Update the features section
Three short blocks that sit below the hero. Use them for the reasons someone should book with you rather than the shop down the street.
- Scroll to Features Section.
- Fill in Features 1 with a short heading, then Features 1 Short Description with a sentence explaining it.
- Repeat for Features 2 and Features 3.
Tip: Keep the headings to a few words each so all three line up evenly on the page. "Free Delivery", "Same-Day Setup", and "Fully Insured" work better than full sentences.
Update the services section
This block has a heading, a short description, and a list of services you can grow as long as you need.
- Scroll to Services.
- Set the Service Title, for example "What We Do".
- Add a Service Description of roughly 10 to 15 words.
- Type a service into each numbered row. Click Add More to append another row, or the trash icon to remove one.
Note: The services list is plain text, not your product catalog. It describes the kinds of events you serve. Your actual rental items come from Inventory and appear in the storefront catalog.
Set your hours of operation
Two columns, one row per line you want shown. You control the wording of both.
- Scroll to Hours of Operation.
- In Days, enter the day or range, for example "Monday - Friday".
- In Time, enter the hours, for example "8:00 AM - 6:00 PM".
- Click Add More for each additional row. Use the trash icon to delete a row.
Tip: Both columns are free text, so you can group days however you like. A three-row setup covering weekdays, Saturday, and Sunday is usually all a customer needs. Write "Closed" in the Time column for days you are off.
Save and review your changes
Two save buttons sit in the header of the editor, and both keep your work.
- Save: saves and keeps you in the editor so you can carry on making changes.
- Save & Close: saves and returns you to the Pages list.
- Cancel: leaves the editor without saving anything you changed.
- Before saving, check the Meta Tags (SEO) card in the right-hand column and set a Title Tag and Description for search engines.
- Click Save or Save & Close.
- Open your storefront in a new tab and refresh to confirm the new copy is live.
Don't paste formatted text from Word. The rich text blocks carry hidden formatting across with it, which can break your page layout. Paste into a plain text editor first, then copy from there.
